Chelan Pictures

Just a few pictures from Chelan......The weather was nice and sunny, the lake was still really cold. There was a street fair there and we got to have shave ice. Yummy. We even got to have a fire one night. The kids got to play dress up. Everyone had a good time!

Oysters

Last Saturday June 20, Doug and I drove out to the Potlatch/Hoodsport area. We gathered oysters on the beach. Doug found a cool jelly fish right next to the shore. I collected the oysters and Doug schucked them. Then on Monday we had fried oyster tacos, they were sooooo good!

Chelan

These guys all left for Lake Chelan this morning.... I will be heading over there tomorrow afternoon for a nice long weekend spent with my mom, my nieces and my nephew, my aunt and uncle, cousins and my cousins kids. It will be a lot of fun and I can't wait. I got a new camera for my birthday yesterday, so I will have lots of pictures when I get back.

Cards

I have been making some cards just to say Hi. These cards are bright and summery, but the weather here has not been, it was very cloudy when I took these pictures.

The paper is American Crafts from their Metropolitan collection and the letters are Thickers and Sassafrass stickers from their Fawnd of you, too collection.

This one is for my friend, that is having a baby, I don't get to see her too often.

Finished?

I have somewhat finished these for my Aunt. My Aunt and Uncle have a house at Lake Chelan and they let us come stay there every summer. I saw this material and I knew I had to make her something. This is what I made:

Pot holders these are the front and back.

and this bag, its kinda tall and narrow and I lined it with flannel, she could use it a farmers market bag or something?

I have some material left over for a towel, maybe one that goes over the oven door handle......not sure.....

Sewing

Right now I am sewing I will post some pictures of what I am making soon.

First 5K

I will be running my first 5K this Saturday in Buckley. I hope it doesn't rain.........

UPDATE: I finished in 32:41, I came in 156th Place out of 232, and it did not rain!
