Just a few things from me. Sometimes I totally forget that I even have a blog, hence the lack of any blog posts. I will try harder to post some new things especially since I have an awesome new camera and I have been pretty crafty lately. This is a recent picture of my two favorite twins who will be coming over to my house for a slumber party this Sunday. We are going to go out to a park and maybe do a little photoshoot and make some crafts. I'm looking forward to seeing my little nieces, it's been a while.

I have been doing a lot of sewing lately. My mom and my aunt spent last weekend at my house and we did a bunch of sewing. I have a top for a new quilt all done, I need to get a picture of it because I really like it. I want to make this bag next, I'm just trying to figure out what kind of material I want to use......
My aunt, mom and I all got a jump start on our Christmas crafts for the holiday bazaars that we do in November. I make a few snowman pillows. I had a really nice time sewing with them over the weekend. Our friend Deena stopped by too and it was nice to see her.

I will try and post on a more regular basis but I make no promises, LOL. So long for now.

I bet if they gave an award out for the laziest bloggers I would be in the top 10. Happy March 19th to everyone. I have been busy sewing lately. I have made these camera cases a couple of tank tops, I have been working on my Christmas crafts. My mom and my aunt Terri have been helping me a great deal with the sewing, especially the tank tops. The are just about done. I made them for my upcoming travels over the summer.

My little kitty Blanco is now pretty much a cat. He's pretty big and very spoiled, hates to cuddle unless its between the hours of 5-6:00 a.m. He hasn't been able to go outside very often because the last 3 times we have let him outside he goes running up to the top of the cedar trees in the yard and gets stuck. So I have bought a cat leash to try that out he hates wearing it.
I got myself a DSLR camera and Photoshop Elements for Christmas, so I have been busy play with those and figuring them out, the camera has been easier than the Photoshop.
Spring is right around the corner and it's time to start putting in some serious hours in the garden. And time to start training for Chelanman, a triathlon I'm going to do in July, so I will be busy swimming and biking and running.
Vacations are just around the corner also. I'm taking my little brother to San Francisco at the end of April for his birthday. I'm really looking forward to going back there. My best friends and I are going to viva Las Vegas for our 30th birthday celebrations in the middle of May.

First Crop

My mom and I went to my first crop at Bonney Lake High School, it was a fundraiser for the Band, which my nephew is in. They had some die-cutting stuff from Ben Franklin and a small store. I think there was a pretty good turnout and I hope the band earned a nice bit of money, they even had a silent auction and I won a kit. We both got a lot done. I'll have to post some pics later. That's my mom scrappin...

Today we are off to Disney on Ice with Emily and Zoey and the think they are going to Disneyland today, silly girls!!

It has been almost a month since I posted on my blog....... What a bad blogger I am... Sorry. These are some more of the fall cards and Layouts I made for my LSS Scrap n Book in Puyallup, WA.

I have taken quite a few pictures from halloween and the end of summer that I would like to get scrapped, and I have a Chirstmas kit from my LSS that I hope to get done at my first crop tonight, my mom and I are going, and have been busy with the holiday craft shows that I do with my Aunt Terri and my Mom.... So much on my to-do list right now.

Sunday my mom and I are surprising the twins with Disney on Ice, it should be a blast and I'm looking forward to that on Sunday.

This is my newest addition, his name is Blanco (Spanish for White), if after his first trip to the vet, he turns out to be a girl we'll have to change his name to Blanca, LOL. He was 6 weeks old when I got him from my brother, he is very mischievous and not at all into cuddling. The top layout is from a sketch I used from my friend Susan's awesome sketch blog, Sketch Savvy.

September's Kit

These are the projects I made with my Scrap n' Book kit they are on display at their store right now. The kit was loaded with all kinds of Basic Grey Basics papers and a brown little Basic Grey mini that I made a little favorites album out of.

I made this cute little gift card holder I loved the way it turned out it reminded me of a little sleeping bag while I was making it.

I decided to make a few cards to have on hand incase I know someone is getting married. My cousin is getting married on October 2, so this will come in handy.

I really like all the browns that came in my little kit they looked great with the Basics papers, brown red and white really looks great together. Thanks for looking.

It's been a while

I have been really busy hanging out and enjoying summer. I have only been home for 1 weekend since the end of May. I have gone to Mexico, over to eastern Washington, over to the ocean and back again. All while I have been trying to train for a triathlon. So here are a few pics of some of the things I have been able to craft, and a few pics from some recent trips.

I went to see Tom Petty at the Gorge in eastern Washington with my friends Leanna, Bobby, their daughter Addison, and Randy. We had a fantastic time.

And we all went to Mexico for a week for our friends Randy and Steffen's wedding. It was beautiful. We were there for an entire week at the end of May/beginning of June. We are all ready to go back it was a really fun trip. We went snorkeling, we road some ATV's into the Jungle, drank lots. It was FUN. I think I'm ready to go back.

It's supposed to be 100 degrees here today which is pretty dang hot for Washington, I think I'll be laying in the sprinkler after my bike ride.

Pre Crop Challenges are up!

The pre crop challenges went up today for the Serendipity Show Crop over at Serendipity Scrapbooks. I came up with one of the pre crop challenges and it was to decorate your TV set (a frame) with a Gilligan's Island theme. I had so much fun making this frame that I think I may make another one! The Crop starts next Friday the 22nd but the pre crop challenges went up today. There is another awesome "TV tag" pre crop going on as well.

Today is the starting of my week for Daily Challenges over at Serendipity Scrapbooks. Today's Challenge was a fairly easy one, just use your newest pattern papers, for me that can be hard sometimes I get the new papers and want to dig into them but there are other things that I need to make first. This month I bought the May IDIA kit and loved it I wanted to use it right away. I think there are a few more left in the store here.

I used sketch 5.6 from the Sketchy Thursday's blog for this layout, their site is pretty neat they put a new sketch up every Thursday and they have a great prize each week, this weeks is some stamps, this is also the first week I played along, I will be keeping my fingers crossed.

Also there is a fantastic Crop coming up on May 21-23 at Serendipity Scrapbooks. I will have a retro t.v. show theme and there will be lots of fun challenges, games and prizes. There will also be awesome blue light specials all weekend long in the store. This one is going to be a fun one. The pre-crop challenges will be going up on the May 14th so stop by over there then.

Serendipity May Altered Kit

This months Serendipity Scrapbooks altered kit had this cool mini that was so much fun to make. The kit had 4 magnets that I used as clasp to close, love the way it turned out. It was loaded with Pink Paislee and Serendipity Scrapbook papers, there was new Pink Paislee Artisian Elements that were fun to ink and mist. There was Jenni Bowlin Butterflies. There was also a package of Cuttlebug embossing plates. This is the book I made with the kit. You can check out the kit here. Serendipity May Kit

This month I got to work with Serendipity Scrapbooks Altered kit. It was loaded full of Pink Paislee's Bayberry Cottage collection and exclusive Serendipity Scrapbooks Delightful Daliance papers and tons of sweet embellishments, there was even a cat eye ink pad and a complete set of Cuttlebug embossing templates. Here is the cover of my "My First Tri" album I made with the kit. Check back later to see the inside. Go check out the kits for May here. The I deserve it all kit is also fantastic this month, I sprung for one this morning.
The closure of the cover is made with 4 magnets that come with the kit. I love the way my Triathlon mini album turned out. The kit was very fun to work with.

There was so much goodness in the kit that I was able to make a couple of layouts and a card. This layout is of Leanna and Bobby's baby girl Addison, what a doll she is! I used the Cuttlebug embossing templates that came in the kit and sanded the images to make the "core" show through the Core'dinations cardstock.

I did the same thing with this layout of my nieces in Lake Chelan last summer. Loved the way this layout turned out.

I made this card also with the kit, the picture doesn't do it justice, it is gorgeous, I'm not sure if I'm going to give this one away, LOL.

Hello everyone, I know my poor blog has been neglected this week, my bad. I have used Basic Grey's Kioshi collection to make these two layouts, one of my good friends' baby girl Addison, she will be one this month. We got to see her and her awesome parents this past weekend they came over for Tacos. I also made a layout of my parents wedding picture. I think these papers will be great for Easter photos too.

I just got this Basic Grey Greeting Card kit. I'm going to be using it tonight to make some cards, it has step by step instructions to make 8 different cards. It looks pretty easy, but I bet it will take me forever. I'll post a full report about the kit and the cards I make by Monday, hopefully. Happy Friday!

My Poor Neglected Blog

My poor blog has been neglected by ME. Life has just gotten "busy". I did manage to do some fun things while I have been away. My mom and my nieces went to the Tulip festival in Skagit Valley. We spent the night and stayed in a hotel. We even managed to go out to Deception Pass for a short visit on our trip. I had fun, my mom and I had never seen the tulips in bloom like that before they were breathtaking. The twins loved staying in the Hotel and swimming in the pool, I think they wouldn't have minded if they didn't see any tulips as long as they got to swim in the pool, they loved it.

The girls got to wear their tulip dresses when we went out to dinner, my mom made them and they are adorable!

We went on a tractor ride around the tulip fields and all got our faces painted!

Here are a few Spring Cards I made for the twins. We are going to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival this Saturday and they are soooooo excited. Me, my mom, and the twins are going up there and spending the night in a hotel with a pool, they are so excited to go. My mom and I have both never been, so it should be fun! This is where I swim, Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 6 a.m. I started swimming in November and really enjoy it, now I'm working with a small group of fantastic folks who like to swim too, they are also training for Half Ironmans and Ironmans. We work with a masters swim coach who has helped med tremendously. So on July the 17th I will be competing in my first Triathlon, in Lake Chelan. It is roughly a 1 mile swim, 25 mile bike ride, followed by a 6 mile run! The pool in the picture is also where I learned to swim as a little kid, so many memories, the locker room seems much smaller now, LOL.

House of Serendipity Week 4

For week 4 of House of Serendipity over at Serendipity Scrapbooks we had to choose one of the DT to "Scraplift" I chose this awesome LO by Madeline below. She made that pineapple, pretty sweet LO. The Hard Part is over.....

All the really hard work should be done in the garden now, yesterday Doug and I unloaded a pickup truck full of topsoil and then a load of compost, all by hand with shovels.... My back was killing me today. Saturday our fantastic family and friends came over, Nathan Leanna, Bobby, and Randy came out to help get the fence up and get the boxes together. I'm so over turning dirt at the moment. We were in bed at 8:30 last night.

Doin Work

This is what our veggie garden looks like right now. You just have to imagine what all the veg tables will look like. We are going to fence in the garden so the deer don't get in. We picked up some 6' chicken wire fencing, we hope that will keep them out. Doug has been working on building some raised beds, so far the plan is to have 2 8x4' raised beds and 2 4x4' raised beds. This weekend we hope to get the fence up and put in our finished beds. If we work really hard we may be able to get some veggies in the ground.
This is the starting of our garden. So far we have dug up the sod and taken it out. Doug dug it up with the backhoe and took most of the sod out of the dirt. I helped him get the last of the sod out.

This is the first raised bed box that Doug made today. He did a pretty good job. I helped pull nails out of the boards so we could reuse them. The boards were from a shipping crate

House of Serendipity Weeks 2 and 3

The House of Serendipity is in full swing over at Serendipity Scrapbooks. Its been a lot of fun and all the ladies over there are making fantastic layouts. I hope I don't get kicked out this week, maybe if I'm lucky I will get picked head of household, LOL.

The Fun layout above is for week 3. Hopefully I won't get kicked out this week. We had 2 sketches to choose from for the week 3 challenge.

I didn't get kicked out week 2 this is my layout I had to use shades of red. I think it turned out pretty good, it's a pretty cute picture of Zoey and Isabelle.

March Kit (Part 1)

It's the first woo hoo, I finally get to share all the fantastic projects I was able to make with the Serendipity Scrapbooks March kit. This kit was loaded with beautiful Basic Grey Origins papers and Exclusive Serendipity Scrapbooks Rooftop Greenhouse papers. I was able to make 7 layouts, 2 cards, a little bird box, and a journal. That is a ton of stuff and I have some leftovers to make some more cards with. The mix of colors in this kit was beautiful. You can get your March kit here. There are 2 different sizes of kits and a Cardstock or just patterned paper kit. Pretty Sweet.

Almost Time

Spring

Spring is in full bloom in my neighborhood. The daffodils are coming up and being picked. My garden is starting to turn green. I already have a jump start on the weeding I was able to weed 1/2 of it last Sunday. The deer are already starting to munch on some of my plants, I had to move some begonias into pots on the deck, so they wouldn't turn into "deer candy" and be lost. Spring is a fun time around here, because there is a Daffodil parade, my nephew Garrett should be playing in it again this year.

House of Serendipity

Happy Valentines Day!! I have some cupcakes baking in the oven, that I will be bringing to my nieces.... Here are some cards I made for the big romantic holiday.

Doug and I will be going to Seattle to have lunch at the Crab Pot, we have never been there, apparently the just put your crab right on the table. Then we are going to go to the big Flagship R.E.I. store so I can check out some road bikes. Enjoy your day!!

There is a scrapbook store near my house called Scrap N' Book. They had a design team call, I tried out, I got picked. They let the customers vote on which LO's they liked the most. The Christmas projects are some of my submissions. You can check out their blog here.

I will be getting a kit every other month, to make fantastic LO's and Cards and other goodies with. So if you are in my area check out the store and keep an eye out for something I made.

Crop Weekend

I participated in a crop at Serindipity Scrapbooks over the weekend it had a Project Runway theme and was a ton of fun! I got a bunch of LO's done, some cards (5), a cute little mini album, and I even altered a jar. The women who hang out on the forum over there are very talented and inspiring. Milestones.

Last night at the gym was weigh in day. I have been working very hard these past few weeks(even with a nasty cold) and its finally paying off. I marked a major milestone yesterday. I'm now down 51 pounds. I feel much better, I eat much healthier, and I'm actually considering doing a triathlon. If anyone would have asked me last September (2008) if I thought I could do a triathlon, I might have laughed. I have upped the swimming to 4-5 days a week and continue with my gym workouts 5 days a week. My entire gym class got to do 51 burpees yesterday all thanks to me!

New Year New Phone

I'm sure I'm probably not supposed to use this photo I stold from Apple's website, but I just got an iPhone and I love it! You can do pretty much anything with it. We had Zoey and Emily over for a slumber party. We went down to Sumner for the annual bridge lighting and fireworks. Then we went down to Windmill Gardens for their open house. They got to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas. When we got back to our house we made some Christmas cards. They loved it. They each made 7 cards. Emily like all the stickers and Zoey love getting to use scissors. They both really love the glitter glue. They were pretty bummed out when it was time to pick up.

I have been really busy for the past 2 weeks, between Swaps on 2peas and a DT call at my LSS and the craft bazaars I do with my mom and my aunt, I haven't gotten much sleep this week. My craft room is a disaster, there is even a pile of glitter I spilled on the floor, LOL!

The girls were princesses of course, well Zoey was Snow White and I don't think she is technically a princess, but we won't tell her that.

These are some pictures of our Halloween Party that we had on Saturday. It was a lot of fun! We had tons of food and drinks. We played some games and almost everyone was dressed up. We had a costume contest and everything. The weather was really good and we were able to have a fire in the back yard! I just wish I had taken more pictures, dang it.

I signed up for another Body Camp at The Body Studio its a gym in Sumner that rocks, they have all kinds of classes and Crossfit there. So this week I have been coming home from the gym and pretty much collapsing on the couch. I have a goal for this camp which is a first for me I hope to loose 20lbs. over the 8 week camp. I will let you know how I do. The pictures above are from this July when we did a Relay for Life fundraiser workout at Sumner High School

More about Vacations

Vacations are so much fun, but getting back into your regular routine is not. By Thursday of my first full week back at work, I told Doug I'm ready for another vacation, he said me too. We had such a good time in San Francisco I thought I would post some more pictures.

This first photo is us at the top of the Mark Hopkins Intercontinental Hotel. There is a bar/restaurant at the top 19 stories up and it has 360 degree views of the city. It was pretty amazing, we had 4 drinks total, and two of them were beers and it was $50 bucks. CRAZY, but we enjoyed our time there.

We also made it to Pier 39 to see the Sea Lions. They were loud and smelly but fun to watch.

We walked down Lombard Street, then we walked back up. I don't think I would want to live there, there was a lot of people there snapping pictures. The gardens were pretty.

We also rode on the cable cars quite a bit. The photo above is from the Cable Car Museum, it was free and pretty cool. Those white circle things are party of the cable car system. It was pretty interesting.

We had a muni pass, so we use public transportation the whole, time. We rode the buses, cable cars, and the F-line. It was a fun experience.

We walked up to Coit Tower on the top of telegraph hill. That was a hike, but we got to see beautiful views of the city from the top.

The Victorian houses all through the city were really pretty. We drove by the row of houses that was on the opening of Full House.

We also went to the Academy of Sciences, inside of Golden Gate Park and spent about 3 hours there. Inside there were a bunch of neat exhibits and an aquarium. These are photos of the penguins they had there.

Of course we went to Alcatraz. It was awesome, one of the highlights of the trip for me. Pretty creepy. We went at night and got to see the solitary confinement cells and the hospital. They have an audio tour, that you get to listen too. We took a separate tour into the basement and up to the solitary confinement cells.

And we got to see Fisherman's Wharf, we ate sourdough bread bowls with clam chowder,YUM. We also saw Chinatown that was really cool and I did a lot of shopping there. We saw Union Square briefly, major department stores aren't our thing so we didn't hang out there much. North Beach was a pretty cool Italian neighborhood, we ate dinner there one night. There were so many restaurants, its making me hungry just thinking about it.

Vacations are fun! Doug and I had an awesome time in San Francisco, CA. The weather was great, the food was great, the people were really nice, and the food was great! We got to see a ton of awesome sights! We really enjoyed our trip and our time together!

My oh My, I just discovered the swap boards on Two Peas and a Bucket, here is the link to their web site http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/default.asp I have signed up for 3 of them.

How fun, I will be making these Rag Quilt alphabets you can see them here (this is my first time making a link, I hope it works) I signed up for 2 letter so I get to make 26 of each. They will be Christmas presents for the twins. I was going to just make one, but I figured they should have their own. What a great way to learn you letters.

I also signed up for a altered binder clip swap, I will be making 10 Christmas binder clips, and 10 anything goes clips. Those look easy and fun.

The last one I signed up for is a Happy Holidays banner. I get to make all the O's. I'm looking forward to a new Christmas decoration. I will keep you all updated on how my items turn out, and I will post the finished products when the come to me (around Thanksgiving).

Today, I'm mailing off my hair to Locks of Love. Here's an interesting fact from their website. 80% of the hair that gets donated is from kids that want to help other kids, how heart warming! Also, if your interested they do accept dyed hair it just can't be bleached.

Halloween Decorations

I went to the Paper Muse in Sumner on Saturday and got these really cool vintagey Halloween images and some mini Halloween bingo cards(how cute), and made some awesome decorations with them. I had some canvases already and these two chipboard pumpkins, that I had no idea what I was going to make with them when I got them. Funny how things work out.

I had a lot of fun making these and playing with stickles and glossy accents. Doug even liked the way they turned out. These will be really awesome for the Halloween party that we are having on the 24th.

Here are a few more these are not from the crop, but I think they are fun. I have been using Snapfish to get my pictures developed and I really like the quality of the pictures. You also can get a cool boarder on you pictures or get 4 wallet size photos. I got a bunch of the wallets this last order and have been having fun with them.

Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while I have been so busy at work. These are a few more LO I got done for the Happily Ever After Crop at Serendipity Scrapbooks that was last weekend. I can't believe that I got 10 Layouts done. I won 3 Prizes from the Crop too, how exciting is that. Checking my mail will be so much fun for a while! They are having their next weekend crop sometime in October. I just hope it's not on the 24th. I decided this year I'm going to have a little Halloween party with my family for all the kids. I think it should be a ton of fun, bobbing for apples and what not. I still have to get Doug to take an after picture of my new hair cut. I think this weekend would be a good time. I want to make sure I look good for the picture.

SO today I have gone from having incredibly long hair to short hair in a matter of one snip. I went down to the Main Street Salon in Sumner where my new hairdresser that my sister sent me to chopped off my hair. It has been eons since I have had my hair washed at a salon and it felt sooooo good. I wish someone could do that to my hair everyday. Guess I should keep dreaming! I will post pictures soon I had her take a before. When I get up tomorrow I will take an after.

So far it looks like a lot of fun. Its making wish I didn't have to work today, especially since it is now rainy and nasty outside today!

I will be busy this weekend with the crop and also I will be getting my hair chopped off. Right now it is down to my waist and after Saturday it should be up to my shoulders! I will be mentally preparing for that all day long. But change is good and I'm looking forward to having shorter hair again.

Meeting a Rockstar

Its not everyday that you can go to the airport to pick up your brother and run into a rockstar. This is Lars, Lars is the drummer for Metallica! I got to meet him at the airport when I picked up my brother today. I typically just drive around the circle and don't park to go in. This time I was early so I figured I would park and go in, and I just happened to have my camera with me. I walked into the airport and saw Lars, CRAZY. He was super nice about it even gave a good smile for the camera!!! Definitely the highlight of my day and something I won't forget.

This is one of my favorite Layouts that I have made recently. The journaling around the side reads: We were in Disneyland and got these shades. Then we ran around the park acting like freaks! Busy Baking

Oh my goodness. Sorry I haven't posted any new pictures in a while. I thought I would have some time last night, but I got so busy baking goodies for camping I ran out of time in my day. I baked 4 loafs of Raspberry bread for camping and cookies, snickerdoodles, ranger cookies and chocolate chip. I was super busy with the baking and trying to pack all my stuff for camping.

I' leaving today as soon as I get off work to go camping. I will be gone until Sunday. I just need to run home and pack up my cooler, throw my stuff in my car and I'm gone.

I'm going out to meet my mom and my aunt, my nieces nephew and cousins. There are 5 of us adults going and 16 kids! YIKES! It should be a lot of fun. They are already there they left on Tuesday. See you all when I get back!

Sorry, I haven't been posting lately. I was super busy this weekend and now, I'm super busy getting stuff ready to go camping for Wednesday. I do have lots of new pictures on my camera to upload and post. My sister took my mom and I to Ladies Night Out at Windmill Gardens on Friday night, which was a blast, we had a good time and lots of Mojitos.

On Saturday afternoon Doug's whole family came over for a bbq, we lost power for about 3 hours, the wine started flowing and everyone stayed the night. Doug's parents took us out for breakfast at the Buttered Biscuit in Sumner on Sunday morning yum! They have the best cornbread there, I had a Greek omelet.

I just finished this LO the other night for my Serendipity Scrapbooks DT submission. I really want to be on their DT, so I hope they pick me. I should know by next week! My mom let me borrow a big box of old picture, so I scanned some of them on to my computer and now I can get them developed. This one is me and my dad camping when I was little.

Here is a new LO, I made from my Pink Paislee, warehouse sale box. There was a ton of paper, stickers and goodies in there. This LO is all Pink Paislee, except the big flower, and some thickers that spell Lover.
And some cards, I don't really like the top one, a little too plain for me. I used October Afternoon papers, and the Thank you and coffee cups, are from Cosmo Cricket.

I like this one it's kinda wild, I cut out some netting to put it behind the flower I added.

This one is a garden card, I made for my sister, I used mostly Jenny Bolin papers and some leftover flowers I cut out from the above LO. The gardening saying is from Creative Scraps, I got it at my Local Scrap Store in Summer, The Paper Muse, its a super cute store and she has a bunch of vintagey things in it. I also got a great stamp to make tags.

Rimrock

Off to Rimrock today! Doug and I are heading out to our friends property in Rimrock. We are going with Leanna, Bobby, Addison, Kim, Jason, Kenzie, Bodie, Randy and Steffen. There is a music festival in Euphrata that we are going to check out. It is going to be sooo flipin hot, hopefully I will come back with a nice tan!

I used my slice for all the leafs, the tabs, the blue swirly thing, and the letters. I love that machine! All papers are Cosmo Cricket.

My mom just gave me this picture and I loved it. All the papers in this layout are Basic Grey. The chipboard numbers are Maya Road, painted black, with Pink Paislee rub-ons.

The twins turned 3 today! Wahoo! The top picture is Emily and the bottom picture is Zoey. They are getting so big, I just want them to stop growing and stay this age forever. Little kids at that age just say the most hilarious things. Grandma is having a BBQ for them on the 25th. Doug and I got them a sandbox/water table with an umbrella for their birthday, and I got them some more fairy wings to wear for dress up and some sidewalk chalk in the shapes of animals.

On another note, I have been scrapbookin a ton over this past weekend. I have been putting together my entry for serendipity scrapbooks DT call. I will be posting some pics of my new layouts this evening. I will be getting the tripod out this evening....... I have a great new layout of the girls I will show you for their birthday tonight, so check back tomorrow!

The fourth of July was a ton of fun this year. We went to my sisters and they bar-b-qued up some delicious dinner for us, it was so good. Then we light off fireworks did some drinkin and some dancing. We had a blast, we just wished we would have brought home some leftovers, yum!

Green Day last Night

Happy 4th Of July everyone!

My Nephew Garrett and I went to a Greenday Concert at Key Arena in Seattle last night. It was by far one of the best concerts I have ever been to. They were great showmen and had a ton of pyrotechnics. It was his first concert and I don't think you could have picked a better first concert to got to. Although I was rather disgusted with the price of the t-shirts, I could understand $25 dollars for a concert t-shirt, but $35 that's outrageous. That was the only negative, the show was freaking sooooo awesome. Garrett and I had a blast. Although I had to warn him that not every show will have all the flames and fireworks in the future. It was so much fun here are some pics. We got downtown early so we walked around the Seattle Center and went to Zeke's Pizza. It was a great day. I'm really glad I got to spend some one-on-one time with my nephew, he Rocks!

Last Saturday June 20, Doug and I drove out to the Potlatch/Hoodsport area. We gathered oysters on the beach. Doug found a cool jelly fish right next to the shore. I collected the oysters and Doug schucked them. Then on Monday we had fried oyster tacos, they were sooooo good!

These guys all left for Lake Chelan this morning.... I will be heading over there tomorrow afternoon for a nice long weekend spent with my mom, my nieces and my nephew, my aunt and uncle, cousins and my cousins kids. I have been making some cards just to say Hi. These cards are bright and summery, but the weather here has not been, it was very cloudy when I took these pictures.

The paper is American Crafts from their Metropolitan collection and the letters are Thickers and Sassafrass stickers from their Fawnd of you, too collection.

I have somewhat finished these for my Aunt. My Aunt and Uncle have a house at Lake Chelan and they let us come stay there every summer. I saw this material and I knew I had to make her something. This is what I made:

First 5K

UPDATE: I finished in 32:41, I came in 156th Place out of 232, and it did not rain!
