Chelan Pictures

Just a few pictures from Chelan......The weather was nice and sunny, the lake was still really cold. There was a street fair there and we got to have shave ice. Yummy. We even got to have a fire one night. The kids got to play dress up. Everyone had a good time!

Oysters

Last Saturday June 20, Doug and I drove out to the Potlatch/Hoodsport area. We gathered oysters on the beach. Doug found a cool jelly fish right next to the shore. I collected the oysters and Doug schucked them. Then on Monday we had fried oyster tacos, they were sooooo good!

Chelan

These guys all left for Lake Chelan this morning.... I will be heading over there tomorrow afternoon for a nice long weekend spent with my mom, my nieces and my nephew, my aunt and uncle, cousins and my cousins kids. It will be a lot of fun and I can't wait. I got a new camera for my birthday yesterday, so I will have lots of pictures when I get back.

Cards

I have been making some cards just to say Hi. These cards are bright and summery, but the weather here has not been, it was very cloudy when I took these pictures.

The paper is American Crafts from their Metropolitan collection and the letters are Thickers and Sassafrass stickers from their Fawnd of you, too collection.

This one is for my friend, that is having a baby, I don't get to see her too often.

Finished?

I have somewhat finished these for my Aunt. My Aunt and Uncle have a house at Lake Chelan and they let us come stay there every summer. I saw this material and I knew I had to make her something. This is what I made:

Pot holders these are the front and back.

and this bag, its kinda tall and narrow and I lined it with flannel, she could use it a farmers market bag or something?

I have some material left over for a towel, maybe one that goes over the oven door handle......not sure.....

Sewing

Right now I am sewing I will post some pictures of what I am making soon.

First 5K

I will be running my first 5K this Saturday in Buckley. I hope it doesn't rain.........

UPDATE: I finished in 32:41, I came in 156th Place out of 232, and it did not rain!

I have been busy, these are scrapbook pages from when Doug and I took Garrett and Isabell to the Mariner's game, the guy sitting in front of us got drunk and jumped on the field......

The paper and stickers are all from Reminisce's Freedom 09' line, except the Thickers.

Summertime

Summertime is almost officially here, make the most of it and have fun outside.
Enjoy the sun, it's no here too often in the Pacific Northwest. Have a great weekend, Doug and I are off to Oregon to check out a dog show in the morning.

Lunch

The twins and my mom are coming to have lunch with me today! This picture is from last Halloween, so they are bigger now, almost 3. What a treat for me. They are just so darn cute.

Birthday

This is my nephew Garrett, he is 14 years old today......... My how time flies by we are going to see Green Day together to celebrate on July 3! He is such a sweet kid. I love him a bunch!

Summer

My garden is really starting to come alive. Which makes me realize that summer is actually here and it will be gone again before we know it....... Enjoy it while it is here I will post pictures of my garden blooming this weekend.

P.S. I went to my sister's house last night and her garden looks AMAZING! She has such a green thumb.

I made this b-day card for my nephew Garrett, he is turning 14 this Friday!
I used: Basic Grey Marrakech Papers, Thickers green felt numbers, MM Tiny Alphas, and Kaiser Droplets

Wynoochee Falls

Doug took me out to Wynoochee Falls and we also stopped at the river on the way and had a little picnic. It was a beautiful day and we had a really good time, we even hiked up to the top of the falls.
