Last Minute Gifts.

Merry Christmas Eve, everyone! I hope you all have a very merry Christmas. I'm at home today making some last minute gifts. I got the recipes here at Bakerella's website. Enjoy your day and I hope none of you have to go to the mall, like my sister. I would have whipped these up last night, but I was enjoying unexpected time with some of my family. I will post the finished product soon.

It was 29 degrees out this morning.

Its soooo cold here and only going to get colder it makes me think of my last trip to Cabo....... ahhh, sunshine, sand and tequila........ So in honor of the cold I thought I would share some sunny happy vacation LO's. Although, everything was very pretty this morning covered in frost. Enjoy winter because before too long we will be complaining about the heat, yeah right!

Little Cardmakers

We had Zoey and Emily over for a slumber party. We went down to Sumner for the annual bridge lighting and fireworks. Then we went down to Windmill Gardens for their open house. They got to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas. When we got back to our house we made some Christmas cards. They loved it. They each made 7 cards. Emily like all the stickers and Zoey love getting to use scissors. They both really love the glitter glue. They were pretty bummed out when it was time to pick up.

Christmas time is in the air.....

Christmas time is just around the corner. Have you decorated yet? Gotten your tree? I haven't done either. We are still trying to figure out if we want to go out back and cut one down, or go to a u-cut farm. Here are some pics from last years snow and some new stuff I made.

This was our tree from last year. It was a huge Colorado blue spruce, we put blue lights on it, it was beautiful........

So Busy

I have been really busy for the past 2 weeks, between Swaps on 2peas and a DT call at my LSS and the craft bazaars I do with my mom and my aunt, I haven't gotten much sleep this week. My craft room is a disaster, there is even a pile of glitter I spilled on the floor, LOL!

The LO above is one I made for the Local Scrapbook Store Design Team Call.
The customers will get to vote for the stuff they like, good idea I thought.

These are bookmarks for a swap I did, they have quotes about reading on them.

Another LO and a project for the LSS DT Call.
Recipe cards for a swap at 2 peas, thank goodness I only had to make 12.

My mom and my aunt at the Craft Fair at the Kent Senior Center!
Off to the Craft Bazaar at the Elma Fair Grounds, it is Saturday and Sunday, I will be gone for the whole weekend, spending money as soon as I make it, LOL!

Halloween Party

My nephew Garrett was this huge rabbit, that was pretty funny!
I was a cowgirl my sister was a devil.

Doug was Obama before the whitehouse.

The girls were princesses of course, well Zoey was Snow White and I don't think she is technically a princess, but we won't tell her that.

My brother Nathan and his girlfriend Stephonie were bacon and eggs!
These are some pictures of our Halloween Party that we had on Saturday. It was a lot of fun! We had tons of food and drinks. We played some games and almost everyone was dressed up. We had a costume contest and everything. The weather was really good and we were able to have a fire in the back yard! I just wish I had taken more pictures, dang it.

More about Vacations

Vacations are so much fun, but getting back into your regular routine is not. By Thursday of my first full week back at work, I told Doug I'm ready for another vacation, he said me too. We had such a good time in San Francisco I thought I would post some more pictures.

This first photo is us at the top of the Mark Hopkins Intercontinental Hotel. There is a bar/restaurant at the top 19 stories up and it has 360 degree views of the city. It was pretty amazing, we had 4 drinks total, and two of them were beers and it was $50 bucks. CRAZY, but we enjoyed our time there.
We also made it to Pier 39 to see the Sea Lions. They were loud and smelly but fun to watch.
We walked down Lombard Street, then we walked back up. I don't think I would want to live there, there was a lot of people there snapping pictures. The gardens were pretty.

We also rode on the cable cars quite a bit. The photo above is from the Cable Car Museum, it was free and pretty cool. Those white circle things are party of the cable car system. It was pretty interesting.
We had a muni pass, so we use public transportation the whole, time. We rode the buses, cable cars, and the F-line. It was a fun experience.
We walked up to Coit Tower on the top of telegraph hill. That was a hike, but we got to see beautiful views of the city from the top.

The Victorian houses all through the city were really pretty. We drove by the row of houses that was on the opening of Full House.

We also went to the Academy of Sciences, inside of Golden Gate Park and spent about 3 hours there. Inside there were a bunch of neat exhibits and an aquarium. These are photos of the penguins they had there.

Of course we went to Alcatraz. It was awesome, one of the highlights of the trip for me. Pretty creepy. We went at night and got to see the solitary confinement cells and the hospital. They have an audio tour, that you get to listen too. We took a separate tour into the basement and up to the solitary confinement cells.

And we got to see Fisherman's Wharf, we ate sourdough bread bowls with clam chowder,YUM. We also saw Chinatown that was really cool and I did a lot of shopping there. We saw Union Square briefly, major department stores aren't our thing so we didn't hang out there much. North Beach was a pretty cool Italian neighborhood, we ate dinner there one night. There were so many restaurants, its making me hungry just thinking about it.
